WHEN THE WORLD FORGETS SILENCE

| Jay B. Klein

Noise is a deceptive, addictive, and false tranquilizer. The tragedy of our world is never better summed up than in the fury of senseless noise that stubbornly hates silence.

This age resists what silence brings: encounter, wonder, and the posture of kneeling before God.

Without silence, God fades from awareness—and noise grows louder to fill the void His absence leaves.

Unless the world rediscovers silence, it is lost. The earth then rushes into nothingness.

— Robert Sarah

“Be still, and know that I am God.”— Psalm 46:10
